I will keep the long end of the science short here, mainly because I just want to tell you why I use this. The filter removes chlorine. In the long term, this reduces my risk of several cancers. In the immediate future, it keeps my gut bacteria in check. This means that my digestion, and thus energy creation/usage, is more efficient. It also makes it super easy to keep my body fat in check. I can’t really taste a difference, but my cats definitely can and have a very clear preference for it over unfiltered water. Its very easy to hook up and enjoy.
I started going to the chiropractor–not because I was in pain–but because my bro science level research gave me some ideas about gaining an advantage. After about a month I noticed that my balance and power increased. While some of this increase was the natural result of deliberate practice, I had noticeably more control and range in my torso twist and greater hip mobility. Noticing this, I sprung for an inversion table to keep up the process of keeping my spine strong, relaxed and with a greater range of motion. Its great for that, but also for relaxing at the end of a hard day of training. I also use it to do inverted sit ups with my weight vest on.
I always wanted to try juicing. It seemed like a delicious way to get the nutrients that I would need to take my game to the next level. It wasn’t until I discovered Mike Cernovich’s juicing website and bought his e-books that I decided to by a juicer. The juices taste great, there are several recipes (or you can make your own), its very very easy to clean, and its a great way to add a healthy habit to your life. If it grows in nature, you can juice it and combine other things that grow in nature with it. After mixing a few juices and adding an apple for flavor, your cravings for bullshit sugar will all but disappear. There are expensive juicers, but this is a great introductory juicer. Cheap, powerful and very useful.
First, the name. The rope is called the Vegeta Fitness CrossFit Speed Jump Rope. Everyone under the age of 40 should be excited that there are Vegeta ropes. I was too until I got it. I let the rope sit by the wayside for almost a year because I didn’t think it would work well because the rope enters the handle at a right angle–despite tons of great reviews. Well eventually I decided to give it a shot, and I love this rope. It is fast with a great grip and has increased my coordination and body control. Its very very durable (I think its made of sometime of plastic coated steel). Durability is a must with training equipment.
A French Press may seem a little out of place here, but it’s how I make my all of my coffee. Coffee is the single most import drink you can make: it prevents cancer, its a nootropic, a thermogenic and its damn delicious. I can finish off a whole French Press of coffee in the middle of a writing session. If you don’t know how to French Press your coffee, I strong recommend look it up and learning how to. I prefer steel as opposed to plastic because steel is a superior conductor of heat. This makes the coffee taste better.
